Inquiry learning is a learning method proposed in the new course reforming. In order to improve the scientific accomplishment of students, teachers should adopt some teaching strategies in course teaching, to promote the inquiry learning of students, make them get the knowledge in chemistry on their own initiative and experience scientific process and methods to form certain inquiry abilities, scientific attitudes and values. And teachers should try to develop innovation spirit and practice ability. However, inquiry learning has not been implemented enough in the present practical course teaching, which leading the living of inquiry learning method weak.This paper focuses on that how to effectively carry out the inquiring learning strategy during the chemistry teaching. With the guide of teaching and educating theory, this study investigated whether the inquiry learning can be carry out in the senior chemistry teaching through six basic links, including questions, information collecting, scientific hypothesis, plan designing and feedback on appraisement.In conclusion, the implementation of inquiry leaning in the senior chemistry teaching can reach the goals as followed: (1) increase the students' school records; (2) increase the students' interests in leaning and improve their attitudes towards learning; (3) improve their abilities in learning on their own, analyzing and solving problems and bringing forth new ideas.Meanwhile, the strategy presented is effective and operative. Therefore, this study suggested that it is necessary to carry out the inquiry learning in the senior chemistry teaching, and adopt workable measure is more important. Besides, it also should be carried out according to the actual standard of teaching material, the levels of students and the school.
