Gratitude, as an ethic theory and behavior regulation has existed in any society from of old. It is also the basis of other human characters. It can be often seen that the contemporary hobbledehoy act ungratefully. It reflects there's something wrong with their gratitude character. So gratitude education to hobbledehoy is necessary and urgent.The paper divides into three parts: The first part probes into the theory of gratitude and gratitude education. Firstly, it has defined the concern. Gratitude , is expressing the approbation from the heart for the boon and favor the nature, society and the others giving to us, and a kind of understanding, emotion and behavior with sincere repay. The next, it analyze gratitude nature . It is relation behavior It appreciates to life bestow. It experiences nice emotion and sensibility. It is positive attitude to life . It is retirement and payment action . It is virtue. The next, it analyses gratitude significance. It is propitious to develop harmoniously of hobbledehoy oneself. It is propitious to intergrowth harmoniously of individual and thing. It is propitious to conceive harmonious campus. It is propitious to harmonious family. It is propitious to harmonious society. Secondly, it has defined the concern of gratitude education. Gratitude education , is a humanistic education which is to cultivate students knowing gratitude, having gratitude, paying a debt of gratitude and bestowing favor depending on a certain contents of gratitude education by some certain educational ways or methods. Following, it analyses gratitude education nature. Gratitude education is a emotion education which is moved by deep emotion ;a moral education which is paid moral debt by moral, is education of humane nature is a life education, too. The next , it analyses the traits of gratitude decantation. Gratitude education mode has penetrability, Its outcome has infection. Its object has equality. Its oration has practice. The second part analyses phenomena of gratitude character absence now. It analyses from case of gratitude character absence which mainly represents disregarding life, amazing value, play benefactor cool. The next, it analyses the cause of gratitude character absence from family, society. seminary and hobbledehoy oneself body and mind. On family, it mainly represents lagging educated idea,improper educated manner and method,blight of parent's action.
