Technicians are the top representatives of the industrial army and the important part of high-skilled talents. Technicians play a crucial role in improving the quality of products and production efficiency, enhancing competitive power and promoting technological innovation and the conversion of the outcomes of science and technology. Therefore, quickening the cultivation of technicians takes a top priority in our economic development and social progress.However, it is obvious that the previous intrinsic technician-training modes can't meet the demands of sustainable development of the existing business and the upgrade of the industrial structure. It is essential for us to seek for a mode of scale and standard to "turn out" a multitude of technicians. Thus, the technical institutes, as the bases for training technicians, emerge in response to the requirement of the times. But can the technicians cultivated under the present modes, be conjunct to the requirements of the business in quantity, quality and structure? This paper elaborates the issue from the following four aspects:The first chapter analyzes the background of the issue, throw light on the important and realistic significance on technician-training modes of the institutes based on the case study of technician-training mode in Hengyang Technician Institute. The second chapter explores the definition and features of technician-training mode, through the concepts of mode and the talent-training modes, followed by the comparison between the high-skilled talent-training modes at home and abroad, and finally discusses the tendency of the development of technician-training modes.The third chapter discusses the status of the technician cultivation and development in enterprises, analyzes the causes, so as to prove the feasibility and necessity of technician-training in Technician Institute.The forth chapter explores the present technician-training mode based on the case study of Hengyang Technician Institute, and analyzes the existing deficiencies on training objectives, specialty allocation, teaching design, and teaching staff training.The last chapter puts forward Countermeasures and suggestions to improve the present technician-training mode in institutes, centered on the deficiencies and difficulties of the technician-training in Hengyang Technician Institute, so as to offer reference and precaution for the four technician institutes to be established during the period of Hunan's 15th Plan.
