Under The New Curriculum Ideas, The Discussion Of The Secondary Chinese Teaching Of Reading Independently

In the beginning of this century, China's basic education began its eighth reform, which puts forward the requirements that students should be enabled to explore cooperation in the independent learning. Immediately afterwards, Chinese scholars as well as experts in the education sector and teachers in the forefront on their own have done research theoretically and made explorations practically. However, not everyone can express clearly such issues as the definition, the characteristics of teaching methods, classroom construction of teaching reading of Independent Inquiry. Based on some related theories and the author's own practice and theoretical research, the article relates its own views on the characteristics of Independent Inquiry and mode of operation. The whole text is divided into five parts:Part One: Explanation to the background of the problems and present situation of research into Independent Inquiry.Part II: Interpretation of the concept of "autonomy", "Inquiry" and "Independent Inquiry in reading teaching." It also clearly states the significance and prospects of Independent Inquiry teaching reading in developing students'ability of lifelong learning as well as developing their self-learning ability to innovate.Part III: Investigation of the current situation of teaching reading in Independent Inquiry and the current case in the teaching of reading errors and the corresponding strategies.Part IV: Research into mode construction of teaching reading of Independent Inquiry and practical suggestions to the majority of teachers in the frontline. The theoretical research will be carried out.Part V: The requirements to teachers under the new curriculum requirements.
