Development Of Career Management Information System

For the college graduates in our country more easily get employed, many universities and colleges have provided the CAREER PLANNING education program. Some counseling companies also provide career guidance service. Facing the complex employment world, most young people are facing many kinds of career problems. However, until now our social organizations and education systems have not provided enough career development service for them. How can career service match various needs of young people? The author puts forward a suggestion: to develop an MIS for career education and counseling.To improve career service for young people, the author has analyzed some Student Management Information System and other relative Career Guidance Information System in use. The research object is to design an information system for career education and counseling. Through this way, most young people, especially those living in rural districts, can receive career service of high quality, which can help them to solve career problems. Therefore, they will get career maturity and go to career success more easily.After having analyzed some Student Management Information System and Career Guidance Information System, the author has designed the MIS for career education and counseling. The dissertation is composed of 5 chapters. Chapter 1 tells the reasons, significance and methods of this research. Chapter 2 analyzes the advantage and disadvantage of the management information systems, such as some websites for employment service, the public database of a university in Shanghai, the www.kaifulee.com etc. Chapter 3 gives details about how to design the management information system. Chapter 4 selects an appropriate software language for system development. Chapter 5 is the system analysis, function designing, database designing and the conclusion of this design. Finally the author makes some reflection on the research.
