This paper focuses on the connotation of career counseling and guidance for university students, the classic career counseling and guidance theory, the Current Situation、content and ways of our university, construct the system of career counseling and guidance for university students via the way of literature study、analysis and induction、deductive reasoning and so on.Career counseling and guidance for university students means counseling experts based on the law of physical and mental development,based on the actual situation of contemporary college students such as their own ability, knowledge, and experience and so on, using career counseling and guidance knowledge analyze the objective and subjective factors that affect their career development comprehensively, to assist students who come to seek career counseling and guidance overcome the problem of career development, get rid of the emotional and cognitive barriers, to help students clarify their self-concept and the direction of career development, and then live up to their self-concept, let the career of university students develop more healthy.Career counseling theory can be roughly divided into three categories:matching theory, development theory and decision theory. Matching theory emphasis on matching people with the staff; Development theory emphasis on the stage and dynamic development of career; Decision theory focuses on the process and form of career decision-making, emphasizing the role of social cognition. There are many deficiencies on career counseling and guidance of our university, such as Student’s self-concept is unclear, weak awareness of career planning and practical ability for students; In our university, the concept of career counseling and guidance is weak, imperfect Counseling agencies, be lack of professional teachers, the contents of career counseling and guidance is not comprehensive and the way of career counseling and guidance implement is unreasonable; the concept and way for career counseling and guidance of parents is poor; the support from Society such as Funding、policy and environment is not enough.In view of this, we urgently need through the establishment of a career portfolio, career counseling courses, career counseling activities, and group counseling and individual counseling and other ways to provide adaptability counseling and guidance、 the guidance of Self-concept、the guidance of academic life and career counseling and guidance and so on to our students.In order to get these contents into practice, we should construct a system of career counseling and guidance for university students, in this system, first of all, we should guide students to establish a sense of career planning and participate in career practice; universities should be enhance the concept of career counseling and guidance, create and improve career counseling agencies, enhance teachers strength, actively explore and implement the contents of career counseling and guidance; Parents should improve the way of career counseling to their children; all sectors of society should give more support to career counseling and guidance of university, such as funding, policy, environment and so on.
