Nowadays, teachers' professional development has become a successful strategy to promote teacher education and their social status. It is a continuous and gradual process, which exists in the whole period from teachers' walk onto the platform to retirement. In this period the most crucial things teachers should do are to know how to keep learning, renewal themselves and obtain good development in order to provide better service to the community and students. Therefore, the problems of teachers' learning in their professional development are becoming a kind of very important research program.This paper takes "adult education" as the basic theory, makes "return to the abundant adult life world and step into the ample adult spiritual homestead" as the basic creed and logic start point, adopts a case study approach, records and narrates truly the growing experiences and learning stories of three middle school teachers, i.e., one in charge of a class, another skilled in teaching a subject, the third being a principle assistant, then tidies up their learning contents, learning modes and learning strategies, and finally puts forward some questions which people should pay attention to in teacher's professional development learning.This paper is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is introduction. In this chapter I present the reason, the background, the aim and meaning of the research. Then, I choose the research methods.The second chapter is literature summarization. On the basis of document and data summed up, this section analyses the main-achievements and subsistent deficiency of this research field.The third to fifth chapters respectively narrates the growing experiences and learning stories of three middle school teachers, i.e., one in charge of a class, another skilled in teaching a subject, the third being a principle assistant.The sixth chapter tidies up their learning contents, learning modes and learning strategies, and finally puts forward some questions which people should pay attention to in teacher's professional development learning.The last chapter summarizes and reflects the research process, research methods and writing process, then discusses the limitation and improvement of the thesis and also points out future effort direction.
