The Ministry of Education launched the "Development of Educational Technology Ability for National Teachers" program in 2006 for the purpose of improving the information literacy of middle and primary school teachers.The whole training was based on the famous learning management system Moodle and all the discussion was supported by the forum module. The trainees not only learnt from training material but also got mutual development from exchanging the gains from learning in the forum.How to find a way to facilitate the learning of the trainees and integrate the knowledge spreading over the platforms is a problem of the distance training program to be solved.On the view of knowledge management,this thesis put forward a revised learning model for virtual learning community(VLC)based on the study of the mutual model of VLC,concerning with the purpose of integrating knowledge management theory with VLC practice.This thesis started with the study of abundant related literature. It summarized the concept and research achievements of VLC and knowledge management.Then this thesisanalyzed the interaction model based on the principle of learning mechanism in VLC.It is shown that the interaction level of the community needs to be improved and the knowledge gained by others should be reused to improve the efficiency of knowledge application.As aresult,this thesis tries to introduce the concept of the model of knowledge management(KM)into VLC.It discusses the combination points of KM and VLC and selects three KM tools to improve the practice of Moodle knowledge interaction.On analyzing the weak points of the original learning model,this thesis put forward a distributive VLC learning model consisting of individual learning layer,distributive resource layer and organization learning layer.At last,the revised learning model is applied for the design and implementation of a knowledge management system. According to the result of investigation and practice,this learning model refined promotes the outcome of the VLC learning and showed certain value for the design of analogous knowledge management system.Besides, the thesis provides advices for improving the VLC learning with knowledge management theory and expects the future research.
