Currently, mental health education in high school is paid more and more attention and becomes the new growth of quality education. Teachers are the main force of mental health education and the mental health education concept of teachers play crucial roles in developing school mental health education. However, there are always kinds of problems during the development of mental health education. Even it's only a matter of form in some schools. It's really worth of thinking whether it's related with the mental health education concept of teachers. The thesis tries to find out the current status of how Shanghai high school teachers understand mental health education, probe into the roots of the problems occurred in practising mental health education, and attempts to give some consideration and suggestions on further developing mental health education in Shanghai high schools.There are 5 parts in this thesis:Part I: Preface. It mainly introduces the reasons of selecting this thesis' topic, the objects of the study and the basic questions. Point out the purpose and significance of this study at last.Part II: Literature summary. It firstly clarifies mental health education and other related concepts, secondly narrates and analyzes mental health education study, thirdly specifies the historical evolution of mental health education concept, finally comments on the study of teachers' mental health education concept.Part III: Study method. This part discusses appropriate study method for this research and the selecting basis, and states the execution process of this study.Part IV: Study result. Study results are unfolded respectively in terms of questionnaire survey and interview survey, sometimes verified with each other. The dissertation is tried to present objectively and impartially.Part V: Study conclusion out of results. It discusses study results and summarizes study conclusions. According to study conclusions, researcher provides his own suggestions on further developing efficient mental health education effectively in high schools of Shanghai.At the end of the research, there is a review about the contribution and deficiency about this these.
