Students in the secondary vocational schools will be fresh activists in the construction of national modernizations. The levels of their qualities will have direct influences on the quality of products and the standards of science and technology transforming, and even on the rising of the whole national industry. So we should practically develop etiquette education in secondary vocational schools to cultivate the students'good behavioral habits, softy moral character and fine personalities step by step, which will play an important role in improving qualities of the students in secondary vocational schools and promoting the sound development of secondary vocational education and educating laborers with excellent qualities for all trades. At the same time etiquette education also has important practical significance and historical significance for carrying out quality education all-sidedly and constructing harmonious society and stimulating the construction of socialist spirit civilization.This article consists of six chapters. In the first chapter the background and the significance and the methods of the research are introduced. In the second chapter the meanings of etiquette and etiquette education and the ethical training functions and the principles of etiquette education are elaborated. In the third chapter main etiquette problems of present students in secondary vocational schools and bad results emerging for them having no etiquette are mainly pointed out, and the causes on history, society, family, school and students themselves, which have made the students have no etiquette are analyzed thoroughly. In the fourth chapter important roles that etiquette education plays in the quality education for students in secondary vocational schools and the restricting factors in carrying out etiquette education are expounded. In the fifth chapter the specific practice about etiquette education carried out in Huai An Nan Zha Vocational High School and the preliminary effect are introduced in detail. In the last chapter strategies about strengthening student etiquette education in secondary vocational schools are provided.The creation point of the article is that it starts from the students'present etiquette situation in secondary vocational schools, discusses making"detailed rules for student etiquette norms"which are used as educational purposes to organize and carry out etiquette education, and tries to explore the approaches of"what to teach"and"how to teach"on etiquette education in secondary vocational schools. In the study some personal opinions such as"make etiquette education become students'normal course","make etiquette credits become students'required credits","etiquette education should begin with teacher etiquette education"and"form a etiquette education network of three-sided entirety including school, family and society"are also expressed.
