Interaction Study Of Higher Education Structure Adjustment And Labor Market

With the increased enrollment in colleges and universities, china higher education transit form "elite" education to the "Popular" into education. At the same time, however, China's economic growth has not demonstrated sufficient capacity to accept so many graduates. Annual oversupply of labor is 13-14 million people. The contradiction between higher education and the labor market have become increasingly prominent. There are both a total contradiction and a structural contradiction between them.In recent years, scholars focus on such issues like the relationship of higher education and labor market, graduated employment, the labor market operation mechanism, etc. and made a series of outstanding achievements. But the majority of studies are limited to a single perspective. The higher education and labor market are two mutual dynamic systems, so a single static study perspective for them means the above-mentioned fable. Therefore, on the basis of the previous achievements, in order to further optimize the structure of higher education, this paper employed the interaction perspective between higher education and labor market.After analysis of existing theories, this paper first intensively analyzed the status of higher education and labor marked by empirical data to find the contradictions between them, and then established the composite system model of higher education and labor market. The following research includes two sides. In one side, this paper analyzed the information feedback and coupling mechanism between subsystems of the composite system by the tools of system theory, and the evaluation methods for the composite system was also given. On the other side, this paper analyzed the operation mechanism of labor market by the economic tools like price theory, asymmetric information, rational expectation, etc., and the reasons for the labor market failures were find. On the basis of above research, a series of ideas and strategies for the structural optimization and adjustment of higher education were presented, including education location and education spirit, education structure and good coordination with labor market. And emphasis that the structure adjustment of higher education shouldn't only reference to the demands of the labor market or the economic structure, we must make the necessary amendments accordingly. What's more, higher education should give priority to development of some small-scale advance interdisciplinary professionals and creation some professional courses moderately ahead of economic development.
