STS was one of new science education creed, which emerged from the context of great technological society and great socialization of science-technology. In reform of compulsory education of China in 2001, STS was added in the content of new biology class criterion for junior middle school. Based on the new biology class criterion and the research results of STS teaching at home and abroad, three models were designed for STS permeation instruction. And teaching experiment of them was done at the same time.Applying capability of three models was verified through a test and an inquiry of questionnaire, and effects of them were analyzed with the statistic method (mainly being t-test). The results of statistic analysis showed that (1) STS permeation teaching had no bad influence on students to understanding the content of text book, and could promote the comprehension when it was with a good teaching design; (2) Based on STS materials in text book,"Adding STS according to circumstances"and"Adding STS intentionally"two models were exposed a good effect on STS teaching. For model of"Run STS through the whole class", when it being under the bad organization, it would readily produce bad result of STS teaching, and even influence the comprehension of text book, for this model require to add more STS contents in class than other models. (3)For application of STS permeation instruction models, firstly, teacher should design teaching case elaborately to promote students'comprehension; secondly, teacher should choose suitable teaching methods, which mainly be teacher to put questions to common discussion; and then teacher should select STS content to satisfy the students'interest probably. This study just was one of initial exploration for STS teaching in biology class of junior middle school. It was"to throw away a brick in order to get a gem", and to induce more teacher to concern the biological STS education on the junior middle school.
