The Application Of Factor Analysis Method In Senior Middle Geography

The method of factor analysis is a kind of scientific research method that reveals internal factors of the occurrence and development of geography phenomenon; it also a scientific research that reveals relationships between geography phenomenon and composing phenomenon and opens out reciprocity mechanism among factors. It is a powerful weapon to achieve the aim of"process and method"in senior high school geography. This text uses specific teaching examples to explain the process of using factor analysis method in geography teaching. The text narrates the value of this research method in the process and the aim of the method, and it brings forward the extended application of factor analysis method on basis of analyzing each chapter in grade one.The test is divided into four parts:The first part: this part is the foundation of theory. This part defines the two basic definitions ---the aim of"process and method"and the method of factor analysis. It combines teaching practices in senior high school geography and divides four factors analysis method which are factors appending analysis method, factors presuming analysis method, factors function analysis method and factors integration analysis method. And it discusses every main content, implementing procedures and the value of the aim of"process and method".The second part: this part describes necessaries of the application of factor analysis method. It mainly analyses necessaries of application factors analysis method in teaching form three points of view which is application of scientific geography education, realizing the aim of"process and method", and developing the subject of geography thought.The third part: this part is a hard core, which uses specific teaching examples to explain the application process of every factors analysis methods and analyzes internal relationship and each character among different factors analysis methods In view of the overall situation, factor analysis method is based solely on factors appending analysis and the others such as factors presuming analysis method and factors function analysis method are based on factors appending analysis, furthermore, analysis process is a"cluster"process which means the former analysis results is a research precondition of the latter one. Specifically, each analysis methods are given different emphasizes. Appending analysis emphasize particularly on positive thought process, presuming analysis emphasize on converse thought process and factors function analysis pay attention to the ration calculating process. Moreover, factors integration analysis is different from the first three methods. The analysis process is a"synchronal"process which means the former one and the latter one is going equally without interruption and finally needs integrated decision-making.The forth part: this part brings up the applicable scope of factor analysis method on the basis of analyzing geography teaching material in grade one and integrating different characters of factors analysis methods.
