Luoyang Community Sports Present Situation And Development Countermeasure Research

With the deepening of the economic system reform, the government is constantly allocating more tasks and functions to the grass-roots units in order to optimize the implementation of the management by objectives. As a kind of special regional colony the community plays an important role in the construction of the harmonious society. Since the eighties of the 20th century, urban community sports have become vigorous in our country, which were gradually accepted. Owing to their flexible organizational forms, abundant activities and effectiveness in body-building the community sports now are attractions for most community members.Taken Luoyang urban community sports as the main target, this research is conducted by means of research on the documents and materials, questionnaire, interview survey, field study and mathematical statistics, etc. This research covers the current situation of Luoyang urban community sports sites and factor analysis of the management function of the community and also the influence on the development of Luoyang urban community sports in order to be helpful to better understand the current situation and existing problems of Luoyang urban community sports and to effectively improve them. Besides, it may serve as a theoretical base for the further research on the community sports.The study also helps to find out:1. Luoyang urban community sports, with only thinly scattered sports sites, are mainly spontaneous activities of the community members among whom the retired people and women constitute the majority of the participants. And usually the organizers of the community sports are volunteers, taking their own management style as the core.2. The management system of Luoyang urban community sports is of the longitudinal structure, with the community office being in charge but without anyone or any department being totally responsible for it. So the management system is steps away from perfect.3. Community members take part in the community sports with the purpose of body building, few mentioning the function of social communication. At present, the existing problems of community sports lie in the lack of funds, facilities and sports instructors. 4. Luoyang urban community sports, mainly as activities of groups, are traditional and casual to a certain degree, so they do not have a high demand for the sports facilities. And the sports sites are mostly located in the parks or squares or the vacant lots of the communities with a flexible time table.Finally, the thesis has put forward some suggestions for the development and improvement of the community sports in Luoyang, which may hopefully be of certain significance for the government.
