As education becomes a focus, the pay and the social status of college teachers have improved largely meanwhile they have to face more and more challenges. So it is very necessary to realize the situation on job satisfaction of teachers in college. In that case we may trigger their enthusiasm for work.This research chose college teachers in Guangxi zhuang autonomous region as a cut-in point. Documentary research, questionnaire and statistical analysis had been used as main methods of this research. In theory this thesis aimed at job satisfaction of college teachers in Guangxi, which developed the product of group satisfaction of college teachers in China. It can also provided reference to the measurement on job satisfaction of college teachers in other provinces or made a comparison between other provinces. In practice this research analyzed job satisfaction of college teachers in Guangxi in detail, which has strong pertinence and topicality. The results can also provided reference to the administration in colleges.Frist this research reviewed some investigations that were related on job satisfaction of teachers. Based on these we designed questionnaire on job satisfaction of college teachers, where pretest and formal empirical research started. Analysed by statistical methods including correlation analysis, regression analysis etc. it drew a conclusion on the structure and factors of job satisfaction of college teachers in Guangxi, whose objects were 285 teachers in five universities or colleges of Nanning or Guilin city.The results of this research are as follows:1. The questionnaire we designed has good reliability and validity and it has five dimensionalities including Work,Relationship,Leadership,Promotion and Income.2. Generally speaking college teachers in Guangxi are satisfied with their jobs, so are the five dimensions but in different degrees. Satisfaction with Promotion and Relationship are more higher while satisfaction with Leadership and Income are less higher.3. Satisfaction with Work, Relationship, Leadership, Promotion and Income are positively correlated with the total job satisfaction, however, the satisfaction of Work is the most prominent with the total while the satisfaction of Relationship is the least one. Satisfaction of Leadership, Income and Promotion are between the degree of satisfaction with Work and Relationship.4. College teachers of different genders, ages, years of teaching experience, professional titles and salaries have significant differences on satisfaction with Work. Teachers of different ages, professional titles,pluralities,majors, salaries have significant differences on satisfaction with Relationship. Teachers of different ages and professional titles have significant differences on satisfaction with Leadership. Teachers of different genders, ages, years of teaching experience, professional titles, pluralities and salaries have significant differences on satisfaction with Promotion. Teachers of different genders, ages, years of teaching experience, professional titles, salaries and salaries from part-time jobs have significant differences on satisfaction with Income. Although the total satisfaction are relevant to genders, ages, years of teaching experience, professional titles and salaries it is not that relevant to educational background, majors, pluralities, salaries from part-time jobs. However, none of the dimensions nor the total job satisfaction are related with educational background of college teachers.Based on the results above we suggested that a reasonable system of salary should be well constructed, teachers's specialties should be fully developed, democratization on administration in universities should be sufficiently improved, challenging work shoule be properly provided for teachers, relationship with colleagues should be favorably established in order to improve the whole level of job satisfaction of college teachers.
