The Chinese Wushu has a long history and profound cultural heritage. Being regarded as the symbol of Chinese traditional culture, it is the essence of Chinese national spirit and has positive influence on the social development. Wushu, being a essential part of P.E. lesson, is a good way to promote our significant traditional national culture. However, due to many factors, the teaching guideline principle has been interrupted and thus Wushu's promotion in school is not optimistic. Therefore, we need to examine the teaching circumstances in middle school as a starting point to study how to promote Wushu education more scientifically and effectively for inheriting Chinese excellent traditional culture.China's Jiangsu Province is the first to basically achieve socialist well-off level, and southern Jiangsu Province is the most developed region in terms of economy where it has complete educational facilities and intensely invested which provide good environment for the implementation of middle school Wushu teaching. Therefore, the thesis choose the Wushu teaching situation as main research objective, applying literary review, survey and statistic analysis of middle schools of Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi etc, a total of 35 cities. The research aims at finding out the main factors which influence the middle school Wushu teaching in cities of southern Jiangsu Province. First, do a comprehensive description and analysis of the middle school Wushu teaching in cities of southern Jiangsu Province. Second, gain experience and introduce a new model for southern Jiangsu martial arts teaching in middle schools in order to enrich and strengthen the theoretical framework and modalities of middle school Wushu teaching.Through the above analysis, conclusion is drawn: Wushu lesson is not taught in many schools and after-class Wushu activities is quite few. Factors influencing Wushu development are: leader's support, teaching content, Facilities and equipment, the structure of the knowledge capacity of teachers, teaching methods, etc. Leaders does not give much attention to martial arts classes; P.E teachers are young and most of them received undergraduate education at the university, most of them not Wushu majors, the standard of teaching martial arts is average, lack of scientific research ability, but they have a positive attitude toward Wushu and the higher degree of awareness of martial arts. Wushu middle school textbook content is old and simplistic, lack of systematic teaching materials; use traditional teaching methods and methods, evaluation forms, a single evaluation methods; Majority of students would like to participate in the Wushu training, their understanding of Wushu is television and media, martial arts novels ; and make recommendations for: Deepening the reform of secondary schools teaching Wushu, Wushu establishment of a new secondary school teaching system, and strengthening the understanding of middle school Wushu, importance of Wushu ethics and moral education with the principle of combining optimization of martial arts teaching methods and means of implementing the class teaching and after-school activities with the principle of strengthening the building of the contingent of teachers, improve teacher training system; Build a scientific and rational appraisal system of middle school Wushu; Improve Wushu teaching venues and equipment.
