The phenomenon of the dropout does not only happen in the western regions or poverty-stricken areas. This problem in the central region should also arouse the concern from various circles of our society. Researches on this issue can help us solve the problem and provide some certain reference on developing Central China Strategy. This article takes the dropout of the students from three junior high schools in Y Town, X County, Henan province for example.It is applied to the investigation about the status of the Dropout and the reasons. And attempt to give the possible suggestions on how to control this problem effectively.This article contains four parts.The first chapter introduces the reason that I want to study, defines the objects of the study and how to choose the research areas, sorts out the research related to this problem, points out the thinking, methods, the value and defect of this study.The second chapter introduces the present situation of the economy and education of Y Town at fist. Then it shows the dropout of junior middle school students and something related to this problem.Based on the investigation, the third chapter tries to find the reasons of the dropout in junior middle school in rural areas, from the two sides: chances of education and the process of education. This article analyses the issue from the condition of running a school, the level of teachers, the trend of the value of curriculum in the course of urbanization, educational concepts of the family, super classes occurring in schools in the education process and eugenic districts in classes.The possible suggestions are provided according to the actual situation of Y Town in the last chapter. Firstly, increase the investment on rural education and improve the conditions of running a school. Secondly, optimize the structure of rural teachers and protect their rights. Thirdly, strengthen the publicity of every education policy and enhance the educational concepts of teachers', parents' and students'. Fourthly, create a good study environment and treat every student equally. Fifthly, based on the actual county, strengthen the rural vocational education and increase the opportunities for students after junior high school. Sixthly, create a good social environment.
