In recent years, the great development of large-scale sport events in China has provided a large number of opportunities and challenges in the construction of the stadiums or other sport facilities. Moreover, the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing will bring another upsurge in the construction, meanwhile, according to the plan of Beijing Urban Construction, these constructions should reflect the following points: clean air, graceful environment, ecological livable, and also should create a people-oriented, harmonious development, economic prosperity and secure city. As a result, the relationship between such construction of sports facilities and the development of the city has attract me to think about; on one hand, modern sports and the accelerated development of the city during the special era would give some new requirements to the construction of the stadiums. On the other hand, the stadium construction, especially the construction of the large-scale stadiums is not only the erection by themselves, but it should also be linked tightly to the progress of the city. This dissertation start from the space layout of Beijing sport stadiums, and then it concentrate on the analysis of the layout of those stadiums by using synthetically methods, which based on the analysis of comparison of domestic and foreign layout of such stadiums. The discipline of the space layout shows that, although the city has a great number of such sport facilities, there are also some issues that the development of the facilities is not equilibrium; for instance, the northern city has much more sports sites than that in the southern city, it is not feasible to have new large-scale spot facilities in the four old districts, and Haidian district and Chaoyang district is crowded with sports facilities but the far districts (such as Changping district) have few grant spots facilities except some scattered points.
