Psychoanalysis Interpretation Of Consumption Subjects

As people's whole life style in the environment of globalization, the consumption culture has been penetrated into every corner of the world. Such kind of phenomenon which shows the flood of the consumption has been strongly criticized by many thinkers. However, such critics toward the consumption culture and even the political critics toward the system of capitalism has not made the condition a little bit better. Except the rapid growth of the world's economy especially the growth of the capital world, one of the main reasons has much to do with man's own spirit construction in social life. This article tries to explain the phenomenon of consumption extension and flooding and people's psychological factors in it from the angle of the depth Psychoanalysis.The article can be divided into several parts as follow:The first part shows a brief description of the theoretic source and the studying object of this article. On one hand, the author tidies up the history of the school of the depth Psychoanalysis and the main contribution of several famous theorist in various historical periods. On the other hand, the author defines the meaning of the consumption, the consuming society, the consuming culture and the connotation of the main body of the consumption, in order to clarify the content of this article.The second part tries to study the consuming actions in human's early period from the psychological aspect, so as to prove what an important role that inhibition of the instinct of consumption plays in the process of human's civilization. The author proves the existence of such inhibition of the instinct of consumption from two aspects which are mythology and anthropology.The third part studies the unconsciousness existing representation and the transition from the unconsciousness to the consciousness in man's consuming activity after the existence of consumption in the common sense of political economy , using Lancan's "Mirror Theory" to explain the self-mirror image in the consuming activities and the phenomenon of self-alienation caused by the self-mirror image.The fourth part tries to give analysis to the meaning of consumption in the concept of the consuming society, pointing out the importance of consumption in current language environment and the developing trend of it. During the study, the author has discussed and analyzed the process in which the final stage of the capitalism turned the consumer which is the main body of the consuming activity to the so-called machine of the desire, and the schizophrenia of spirit caused by it.The concluding part has spread out a deep analysis and study on current consuming language environment in our country, stressing the practical condition which the western consuming language has faced in its development of localization, and finally made a reasonable animadvert to the trend of consumption which the mass media has boosted and flaunted.
