The youth teachers are the backbone of the teaching in colleges, they implement the responsibilities of education, undertake the task of fostering the advanced all-around people for our country's socialistic modernizations. The most essential quality for the youth teachers in college to undertake the work of teaching is to have advanced teaching abilities, which also guarantees the improvement to the effect of the higher education. "China believes in that in a one-hundred-year strategy of a nation, education is the most important basic, and teachers' quality is the most essential element to guarantee the actualization of education." Therefore, to improve the specialization of college teachers and the quality of college education, we should strengthen the research on how to advance the teaching abilities of college youth teachers.This essay firstly concludes some existing problems with the facts in the training of the college youth teachers' teaching abilities in five colleges in Hunan Province through questionnaires and interviews and tries to seek the real reasons to solve them. The youth teachers lack the real teaching abilities because of the imbalance of their teaching ability development. Owing to less affection towards teaching, they don't devote much to teaching. And also because of the false outlook of value, they also concentrate too much on scientific research rather than on practice of teaching. The content of training in teaching aims at general teachers so that it can't solve the actual problems. And the training emphasizes only on the form, therefore it is not very effective. The null utilization of the evaluation results leads to no effectiveness of the teaching evaluation. From the analysis of individuals, there are some major factors affecting the improvement of teaching abilities of the college youth teachers. Their poor knowledge can't cope well with the normal teaching. Owing to the bad influence from the society, they can't focus on their teaching. It's difficult for them to improve their ability in teaching because of the cease in the development of the knowledge in their field. And as the rapid reform in education as well as the social development, the pressure on them increasingly grows. From the analysis of the college, the colleges are more intended to introduction of talents than training their own. The evaluation systems still need to be consummated. There is no ability encourage mechanism to ensure the improvement of their abilities. Then from the analysis of the society, there is no perfect law system to ensure the development. The teachers' qualities are low because of the weak foundation in normal college education. Both the teachers' financial reward and social status are low. In the second part of the essay, the author emphatically analyzes the valuable experience in training of the college youth teachers' teaching abilities in the developed countries, such as America, Canada, and the Great Britain, and put forward the four effective solutions: stressing educational legislation and making training system legal; emphasizing the teaching ability before entry into the teaching career in order to integrate the training and the development of the abilities; widening the training channels and making the training forms diverse; paying attention to encourage mechanism to make teachers' training active. At last, expounding on analysis of the reasons for existing problems, the author advances the countermeasures on how to train the teaching abilities of college youth teachers as following: the individual teacher should be aware of learning through life, the constructions of teachers' ethics as well as the reconsideration in teaching; the colleges have to accomplish some projects such as to establish "the center of teaching development" to foster the teaching abilities of the teachers; and to put up the assessing system of teachers' performance to emphasize regular teaching , and to construct the expansibility assessing system to accelerate the teachers' development in their majors, to consummate the teachers' training to improve the training qualities. The nation also has to complete the educational legislation to support the education, and it must reform the post graduators' education to reinforce the training of the teachers, as well as to improve the teachers' financial income to solve their problems.
