The Research Of Industry-University Cooperation Mechanism In Research University

In the context of setting up National Systems of Innovation, this paper makes research on industry-university cooperation mechanism in research universities. This paper says, industry-university cooperation mechanism is the working method and content contacting the various elements including the government, universities, enterprises and market and so on, and it is also the concrete expression of core competitiveness and especially the strategic choice of research universities facing to the society and running market at present.This paper first analyzes the necessity and possibility of industry-university cooperation in research universities from the angle of university expanding function, opening system school, and crossing organization theory. From personal view, the university and enterprise being two different organization to adopt to social development, the internal need in universities, government, enterprises is the internal cause of industry-university cooperation. In essence, industry-university cooperation is the combination of enterprise and society, which is demand oriented, and university, which is academic oriented.Via analyzing typical cases in mainland China, the United States, Japan and so on, the part of positivism probes into industry-university cooperation mechanism by adopting the models in representative universities of typical countries as targets. With the review of history and present situation of industry-university cooperation mechanism in mainland China, we can conclude the relationship between universities and various industry-university cooperation mechanisms, as well as restrictions in industry-university cooperation mechanism in China's research universities. Moreover, we can employ successful experience of industry-university cooperation mechanism in American and Japanese Universities by presenting history and present situation of industry-university cooperation mechanism in the United States and Japan and exploring industry-university cooperation mechanisms in Stanford University and Tsukuba University.This paper expresses that Industry-university cooperation mechanism in China has not been established completely, however, no matter from the view of general rules of industry-university cooperation or from the global view, its setup is the actual need of upgrading the core competitiveness and especially the strategic choice for university development. So the industry-university cooperation mechanism in research universities requires the mechanism of information exchange, the mechanism of risk control and prevention and the mechanism of cultural accommodation. The innovation of the mechanism and the construction of university Sci-tech park and knowledge exchange center. Anyway, the university in 21^st century which the knowledge -economy develop quickly should be open and innovative, a promising university needs the favorable relationship with government and enterprises constantly and forms a mutually beneficial win-win situation.
