Relationship On Industry-University Cooperation In Gansu’s Colleges And Universities

In the process of constructing the innovation-oriented country, the trend of integration of science and technology with economy is becoming increasingly pronounced. It has become the objective trend that establishing the connection between higher education, scientific research and industrial innovation to achieve innovation driven development, appearing a lot of opportunities for Industry-University cooperation.The construction of Industry-University cooperation began whin the implementation of "The project of the integration of production, education and research" in1992, with20years development, Industry-University cooperation has gained many achievements, along with the development of relations between University and Industry. Universities and enterprises as two different subjects of knowledge innovation, their dissemination of knowledge and creation become the essence of achieving the Industry-University cooperative innovation, their are the direct beneficiaries in this process.Universities as the main body of the regional innovation system,their subject effects on production and dissemination of knowledge resources and technological achievements is increasingly important for enhancing the independent innovation capabilities and contributing to regional competitive power growth.The mode that relay on the innovative ability of universities to give the intelligence support to regional industry,has become the core pattern to promote Industry-University cooperation, and the strategic choice to promote regional innovation competitive power.Promoting Industry-University cooperation, is not only the urgent need to service the regional economic and social development for universities, but also the inherent requirement to promote the self-development of universities.It is extremely important for the dissemination of knowledge and the development of Industry-University cooperation in the perspective of university to study Industry-University cooperation.Therefore, this study takes the university as the breakthrough point, selects the universities and enterprises in Gansu province as investigated object, takes patents which are the main characteristics for Industry-University cooperation achievements as research sample, through the descriptive statistics of the joint patent data analysis, which include total cooperation analysis, geographical distribution analysis, subject analysis, cooperative structure analysis, in order to gain insight into the overall situation, disciplinary trend, cooperation tightness, original innovation capability of Industry-University cooperation in Gansu province.According to the results of the empirical analysis, some policy recommendations and suggestions on how to improve the effectiveness of Industry-University cooperation of Gansu province are pointed out.
