Harmony, as a healthy state of co-existence and development among all the beings over the world, has always been earnestly pursued by generations of people. A society is composed of people, and it is only of people in harmony that a harmonious world can be made up. The making of well-developed man relies on the training of education which in turn will be realized by means of one of its basic channels: school teaching. Therefore, a harmonious society demands a harmonious education while a harmonious education asks for harmonious school teaching. It is just based on such observations that this thesis aims to study the process of harmonious school education. And it attempts to investigate from the angle of individual development in relation to the advancements of the society.We define "harmonious teaching process" as one in which systemic theories, psychology, sociology and aesthetics work together to instruct the teacher to elaborately plan and reasonably arrange classroom activities so as to constantly maintain symmetrical, balanced, coordinate and unified states to the effect that the students may actively generize their cognition of the world to reach harmonious realm involving self and others, self and society, self and nature as well as self satisfaction of individuals and at the same time the students will be adapted to the need of social life and contribute to the development of the society. The features of a harmonious teaching process are overall planning, instant feedback, diversified information, interactive teacher-student relation, compatial state, physical and mental well-being, unit and individual co-considered, correspond with the rhythm in teaching,and with suitable,agreeable and balanced internal-external structures.We complement our data collection by means of listening to lessons. During the course of our investigation, we discover that there exist some inharmonious phenomena, such as the contradictions between single object and the many-sided development of students,the heavy task and the inefficiency in students' endurance ,the one-way control and exchange in many ways, the uniformity and the differences in different teacher or student,some defects in structure in teaching process. According to our analysis, we claim that all these inharmonious phenomena are mainly the products of inaccurate educational concepts, unsound educational institution or imperfect educational conditions among many others. In order to change those inharmonious phenomena, and to promote harmony in our teaching process, First, it is necessary to break the traditional concepts of teachers' authority and build a new democratic relationship between teachers and students. Second , we should build many-sided systems of evaluation in education and stimulate teaching and learning in many ways .Third ,we should strengthen teachers' professional training in order to improve their application of skills to actual surroundings of teaching. Fourth ,we should also value the differences among individuals and keep all kinds of elements inside or outside teaching process concerted. Fifth , we should strengthen construction of basic education facilities and guarantee material resources in harmonious teaching process.
