With the development of feminism, curriculum reform has a new view, checking textbook with gender method, for curriculum idea of feminism. In China many scholars have research textbook by gender and have much product of study. But these researches emphasize on arts textbooks, on the other hand, the researches for science textbooks are few. At present, the New Elementary Curriculum Reform is going on in China. Have the gender problems in textbooks been noticed in the new reform? It is what the author care about and the start point of this research. For finding out this, the dissertation analyzed gender problems by analyzing the textbooks edited by Pepople's Education Press, by using quantitative research, text analysis method. Then according to the output of analyzing, some practical suggestions are put forward to eliminate the gender problems.The dissertation consists of five parts.Part One: Core Conception, basic theory, research methods and action plan. In this part, at first introduces the reason of the research and traces back to gender researches in textbooks, then put forward the merits of this research. And then explains three core conceptions, such as gender, gender role and gender stereotype; and explain basic theory such as the theory of gender stereotype and curriculum idea of feminism.Part Two: briefly introduces the research aims, objects, methods and plan.Part Three: The analysis of gender problem in textbooks. In this part, the research has two aspects: quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis for pictures and texts. It is the most important part and the primary outcome of this dissertation.Part Four: The analysis of the reason for gender problems in textbooks. This part analyzes the reason and influences of gender problems according to the results that the gender problems still exist in textbooks. The aim is to solve the problems.Part Five: The practical suggestions of realizing gender equity in textbooks. In order to eliminate the gender bias in the textbooks, the author put forward four suggestions.
