Qualities Of Physics Teachers Of Senior Middle School And Ways For Enhancement In Teaching The New Course

The reform on new curriculum is being carried out all over the country, during which many operational problems related to the qualities of teachers arise. So the qualities of teachers are in urgent need of improving. This thesis based on the general qualities of teachers, combining the requirements of the reform on new curriculum and the present qualities of the physical teachers in senior high schools, points out some qualities needed to be improved and the ways of improving. The whole passage contains 5chapters including 3 parts.PartⅠ. After introducing the background of the reform on new curriculum and elaborating the general qualities of physical teachers, the article designed two surveys (in appendix), according to which, I investigated and analyzed the present qualities of the physical teachers in senior high schools and the degree of students' satisfaction.PartⅡ. With the present qualities of the physical teachers in senior high schools surveyed in Part I, this part analyses the targets, theories and the new requirements of the reform on new curriculum, and presents that the physical teachers in senior high schools mainly lack conditional knowledge and hands-on knowledge, both of which should be gained to consummate the teachers' own knowledge structure.PartⅢ. It states the present pattern of training teachers, finds out the major problems that exist in the present normal education and further education of teachers and proposes that improving the qualities of teachers is the demand of society, the reform, and teachers. It is a systematic project for the normal colleges, high schools, and teachers themselves to improve the qualities of teachers. In consequence, the article puts forward a pattern of improving: the motivation of school→self-examination→various ways of training→researches by teachers.It stresses the important part that motivating the professional passion of teachers and the awareness of self- improvement play. Finally, two cases are used to prove that the pattern of improving the qualities of the physical teachers in senior high schools is feasible. However, the practice depends on the individual involved.Nowadays, the reform on new curriculum is in the process of popularization. The qualities of teachers will be the key to the success of it. This essay is of much guiding importance as to the investigation and analysis of the qualities of physical teachers in senior high schools, the ways of improving the qualities of physical teachers, educational managers, and the application of the reform.
