Point conic plays a very important role in analytic geometry although textbooks for senior middle school have been updated many times. Students have difficulty in learning point conic because it sets high standards on students' all-round ability. The writer carried out questionnaires on this problem and formed the teaching behavior.This paper analyzes the teaching objections of point conic and discusses its values performing in math courses, in order that we can have better understanding of the teaching contents.Multi-media aided teaching can bring benefits to point conic teaching if used properly. This article explores the application of multi-media in definition teaching on point conic. Meanwhile, it deals with how to learn the geometry nature of ellipse based on Sept Approaches and also introduces the geometry nature of hyperbola and parabola. Analyzing the data drawn from the questioners, the study shows the tactics on how to help students overcome the fear of doing comprehensive questions and complicated calculations.Math teaching is not just about knowledge but also about mathematics ideas and method. This paper focuses on combining the thought of figures and shape with analogy idea in the process of point conic teaching which brings benefits to students.Textbook is a powerful tool for mathematics. We should bring it into full play and show its magic power in classroom teaching. This dissertation offers some suggestions on how to use textbooks and also makes preliminary studies and developments on typical questions related to point conic.
