With the deep development of "The Outline of Course Reform in the Basic Education", nowadays greater changes have taken place in Environment education, based on the belief of the education for all-around development completely, the new course require us to introspect the disadvantage of the traditional teaching and let the Environmental education to be part of our class, converting the teaching purpose from the simplicity with controlling knowledge toward the ability using what we have learnt to solve the daily environmental problem. In the course-reforming process. We aim to enhance the environment-protecting consciousness, improve our living environment and develop our society, we are looking for the transformation from the simplicity with controlling knowledge toward the thinking ability and practising ability.On the foundation of discussing the meanings of enhancing the junior's. Environment-protecting consciousness, This article gives detailed dissertation on the world environmental condition, development history of the Environment-protecting consciousness and its developing status .it aims to explain the importance of enhancing the junior's Environment-protecting consciousness and the necessity of returning the Environment education to daily life.This article is divided into five parts. The first part gives the problem, explains the importance of the Environment-protecting consciousness and its meaning. The second part mainly shows the present developing status of Environment-protecting consciousness worldwide. The third part presents the necessary condition and level of enhancing the Environment-protecting consciousness. The fourth part analyse the ways to enhance the junior's Environment-protecting consciousness, it gives deep discusses on the class teaching, teaching material, experimentation and social practice. The fifth part explains the ultima motive of enhancing the junior's environment-protecting consciousness.
