The teaching of Chinese reading in Middle School is always the most important part of Chinese Teaching. Although all different kinds of theories about it are still under discussion, in fact, the students'reading abilities haven't been improved. Losing points in the reading part of the exams is extremely obviously,which was most apparent in the teaching of reading didn't take the expected effect. This paper analyzes the traditional educating method"Drawing Inferences about Other Cases from One Instance"on three levels----By using textbooks correctly, using"Chinese reading"effectively and guiding outside reading properly, it designs 3 levels of reading steps. In the textbooks teaching ,intensive reading is the"one"and skimming is the"three". In the school teaching,a textbook is the"one"and"Chinese reading"is the"three". In the category of Big Chinese,"inside-school reading"is the"one"and outside reading is the"three"."Using one against three"exists in the 3 levels step by step. Meanwhile,this paper reference many cases on teaching of reading,and tries to use the"using one against three"in the Chinese reading reaching practice. It also gives some practically strategies in the teaching of Chinese reading. I hope these strategies could enhance the students'interests and improve their abilities.
