If we survey the education of ancient China once again with today's point of view, it is the origin of general Chinese, which contains deep humanism. No matter from the teaching content which blends the four books, five classics, literature, history and philosophy, or from the teaching method which contains listening, speaking, reading and writing, this is no doubt. The imperial examination, which lasted for 1300 years, preserved the characteristic of the education of ancient China——general Chinese. In this paper, the writer tries to use Suzhou and Huzhou teaching method as a representative. HuYuan, one of the biggest educators at that time, set up Suzhou and Huzhou teaching method in the early of North Song Dynasty. And then, he promoted and pushed this teaching method. This is a teaching mode and the central meaning of its educational idea is studying for the purpose of application and the important change of teaching method. By analyzing the central meaning of his educational idea to found Fenzhai teaching system, and to trace its great influence to nowadays Chinese teaching as an origin. The government pushed this teaching method during Qinglixingxue, and this had an active effect on the improvement of the teaching work and the academic genius of the university in Song Dynasty. The form and promotion of Suzhou and Huzhou teaching method are a summary and creative exertion of the educational idea and practical experience of Song Dynasty. If we compare it with the reform on new curriculum and make a study, there is not only a practical meaning to nowadays Chinese teaching, but also an important academic value of the construction of the new Chinese educational idea.
