| The principals working in the countryside schools,as the pioneers,organizers and executors at school,are playing vital roles in school administration and decision-making.Their leadership directly determines the future direction for school development.With profound western academic background,principals’ leadership is a concept deriving from western leadership and educational leadership.With the fast development nowadays,the sustainable development of countryside school reforms and management mechanism shows that countryside school principals,as the leaders in the schools of basic level,are playing decisive roles in school construction.Their leadership is closely related to the progress and development of countryside schools.The strong leadership of principals is the foundation and precondition for effectively elevating the administrative level of countryside schools,and countryside principals are also regarded as one of the key points in the process of revitalizing countryside education.Through referring to the relevant literature data and interviewing the principals in three countryside central schools of A county in Jilin province,and according to the definition for principals’ leadership in the process of practical working,the paper finds out there are such problems existing in principals’ leadership as administration leadership,team leadership,teaching leadership,curriculum leadership and morality leadership.After interviews,investigations,sorting and summarizing,analyzing and concluding,it’s found that the main elements that influence principals’ leadership include the principals’ own subjective elements,social environment and relevant policies and systems.In order to improve the leadership of countryside school principals,it’s required to strengthen countryside school principals’ training,improve their leading environment,optimize the cultivating system for them,and reform the administrative system for them.In this way,with the overall improvement of countryside primary school principals’ qualities,it can also help them condense their advanced educational thoughts,innovate the practice of running schools and managing schools,and successfully run countryside schools that CCP and Chinese people are satisfied with. |
