Research On The Current Situation And Development Of National Defense Education In Colleges And Universities Of Hainan

All of the colleges and universities have begun to conduct reforms on their own national defense education systems in recent years on the basis of considering the development trend of national defense education and tried to establish corresponding education system. The reforms on national defense education in colleges and universities lag behind the development pace of national defense education due to many reasons. Experts, scholars, the administrators in the field of national defense education as well as teachers have conducted thorough studies and researches on this issue by means of experience summarization and analysis to produce numerous beneficial viewpoints. However, all of such researches are conducted to deal with the whole country, national defense education researches on some individual places appear to be very weak and no such researches have ever been conducted on the national defense education in colleges and universities of Hainan Province.Located at the southern gate of our motherland, Hainan is of great significance for strengthening national defense and safeguarding southern China as the outpost in South China Sea of our motherland. It is a top-priority work to well conduct national defense education in Hainan and the important roles played by the national defense education in colleges and universities are immeasurable. However, a lot of problems have arisen in the process of conducting national defense education in Hainan's colleges and universities and the development of national defense education in Hainan's colleges and universities are faced with many difficulties due to historic reasons and imperfect policies and environments.In short, it can be seen that systematic researches on the national defense education in Hainan's colleges and universities can not only make up the lack of research on the academic respect but also help to push forward the development of national defense education in Hainan's colleges and universities. Starting from the analysis on the current situation of the national defense education in Hainan's colleges and universities and taking the national evaluation standards for the national defense education in colleges and universities as references, the paper conducts purposed investigation and analysis on some related important issues on the basis of studying the current situation of the national defense education in Hainan's colleges and universities. The paper consists of five parts. The first part is an introduction to introduce the background of the theme selection, research objective ,research method and makes brief description on related basic theories. The second part makes analysis on the current situation of the national defense education in domestic and overseas colleges and universities. The third part makes analysis on the current situations and existing problems of the national defense education in Hainan's colleges and universities. The fourth part puts forward relatively comprehensive suggestions on how to improve and enhance the national defense education system in Hainan's colleges and universities. The fifth part summarizes the conclusions.
