Research On The Educational Functions Of National Defense Education In College

National can not stand without defense.to prevent the country from interfering in its own sovereignty,to defend the territorial integrity ,to safeguard the state security, the country will hold a series of military and national defense education activities.in these activities,the national defense education in colleges is very important.This paper studies functions of national defense educations in college . Recently,national defense educations has played an invaluable role in college and also trained a large number of talents for the cause of national defense .however,a lot of problems have been emerged in the process that conducting national defense education in college .the main reason is that the researchers on national defense education set off only recently and have not systematized theories.and the implementation of national defense education in college is also in piloting phrase.this paper is based on the theory of dialectic and historical materialism ,combines the theory and practice ,in a static and dynamic ,macro and micro way alike.it also mentions current status of national defense education in college,its current functions and methodology,and major obstacles in implementation.this paper gives suggestions on how to strengthen the implementation of national defense education in college.This paper consists of five chapters.in the first chapter I lay out the objectives,current situations and methodologies adopted in this and related studies.in the second chapter,I give definition of national defense and the educational functions of national defense education in college.also I discuss the purpose ,contents and features.different types of the educational functions of national defense education in college are also introduced in this chapter.the third chapter is focused on the present situations of the educational functions of national defense education in college.I introduce and suggest conditions of the present situations on it,and talk about some current and potential obstacles in implementation. Forth chapter is the introduction of the positive measures that Harbin Engineering University had done on the educational functions of national defense education in college.the positive measures includes five ways and I will introduce them exhaustively.fifth chapter detailed countermeasures about implementation of the educational functions of national defense education in college are introduced.they cover different subjects such as government regulation,courses designing,institutions and faculty building-up as well as financing and so on.at last,I summarized this paper's content briefly.
