"Learning to learn" is one of people's fundamental abilities in modern society.And this ability is guaranteed by learning potential,thus the exploration of students' learning potential is becoming a growing concern. As a result,in China's new curriculum reform,the cultivation of students' learning potential has been written on the "Course Standard" as a basic curriculum concept.Moreover,the university entrance examination,an important means to select talents,also put the capability to learn as primary criteria.The high school stage lays an important ground for students' lifelong development and is regarded the best time for the exploration of learning potential.Hence it is definitely worth for high school teachers' further research to effectively explore students' learning potential for math during this stage.This thesis systematically discussed the definition of the learning potential in general,learning potential specifically for math and the methodology of math at high school.On this basis,I have carried out scientific and rational teaching trials, quantitively analyzed students' development in math study and realized the practice of evaluating learning potential.Based on the analysis of large numbers of statistical data,I concluded that the learning potential for math is developable and it is of great benefit to fully improve students' math level and ability.
