The psychologist of America, Doctor Howard Gardner claims that the intelligence is individual physical and psychological potential to handle the information which could be stimulated by some culture background, solve the problems and create some products which are valued by the culture. From the point of view of Gardner, the intelligence isn't the stuff which could be seen and measured, but the potential of the central nervous system. Whether it could be stimulated or not depends on the value of specific culture, the opportunity which could gain from the culture and the different choices made by individuals,families, teachers and so on.Base on the psychological theory, what we understand about education is that the successful education comes from the maximal success of everybody. Multiple intelligence theory gives teachers a chance to help students to break through the single way of view and chase the diversified choices. The proposition of multiple intelligences helps to make full use of everybody's predominance and strongpoint, evoke everyone's potential adequately, enhance the self-confidence of everyone, and avoid a waste of human resource.Nowadays, the theory of Howard Gardner's multiple intelligence have great influence on current educational reform of our country.. The researches about the theory are pretty abundant, but most of the researches are related to the translation of the content and application abroad of the theory. Few of them combine the theory commendably with the fact of our basal educational reform. Moreover, the research of the positive effect on our basal educational reform is shortage of systematization and not thorough enough. The thesis tries to do something meaningful in this aspect with the hope of accumulating information to promote our basal educational reform.Based on the dialectical materialism, historical materialism and multiple intelligence, the thesis reviews the history and current status of our education, analyzes the idea of multiple intelligence, the main content and the practical significance of multiple intelligence toward our education. The author of the thesis made a preliminary research into elementary strategies of teaching process, teaching principle, teaching approach, teaching evaluation, the role of teacher, the relationship between teacher and students. Finally, the author got the implication that the multiple intelligences has a positive effect on our basal educational reform under student side, human resource side, education environment, teacher's diathesis, and education evaluation system. The author made use of the Countermeasures research in the daily teaching work. There are four demand of teaching: 1). multiple teaching philosophy 2).multiple knowledge system 3). Multiple capacity cultivation 4).the nurturance of good multiple personality and character.
