The Investigation And Research In The Filial Piety Culture Of The Youth

The culture of filial piety has a long history in China. The traditional morality of the filial piety has been prevalent for thousands of years in China as an important component of the Chinese traditional culture. The thought of filial piety has been developed into a traditional culture , influenced by the Confucian ethics and the ideas of governing class, and is continuously enriched and given the new content with the development of Chinese social civilization. The writer studied the filial piety by the visits, the questionnaires and the other ways, basing on the predecessor's research. This article concerns that the filial piety is the basic ethics in the modern family life and the rule of conduct adjusting the family relation and the relationship between the family and the society, on the condition of socialist market economic system. The education on filial piety is a zone of weakness in the moral education of the junior middle school. Therefore, strengthen the weak education, inherit and carry forward this fine tradition that will make the moral education serve the youths' healthy growth and the social development better, and have the important realistic meanings for promoting the socialist ideological and ethical progress and improve the national moral quality.
