Making individual all-round development becoming true is a "systematic project" which relies on co-work between school education and the society.However, misunderstandings always exist when people try to understand the concept of "individual all-round development" and implement the educational purpose of "development of morality,intelligence and physics",like people always regard the educational purpose of "development of morality,intelligence and physics" equals to educate people and make them become "all-round" developed people as Max and Engels pointed out,then of course,they put high expectation on education of "all-round" people by school education.As a matter of fact,school education only can make limited functions on improving individual all-round development process which is decided by the basic regularity of school education.During years of reforms and developments,school education has already formed kind of "basic" things which represent the basic regularity of school education and also the nature and the rules of teaching and educating in school.In the process of school educational reform,the "basic" things should not be thrown away no matter in what kind of circumstances.Of course, making emphasize on the limitation of school education does not mean to say that school education can "do nothing" on individual all-round development.Oppositely, the importance of school education on individual all-round development cannot be replaced.Based on clearly identifying basic rules of school education and guarantying normal effectiveness from original functions of school education,we can make school education contribute more to implementation of individual all-round development. Limited functions of school education on overall development of individual is ignored,which will lead to the "Omnipotence of Education" and "Incompetence of Education",so practices of educational reform are influenced.Because limitation of school education is ignored in history,the situations that educational reforms eventually are failure aren't rare.Therefore,limitations do exist on functions of school education in improving individual all-round development.If we do not admit the limitations but only expect finishing individual all-round development through school reforms and improvement of school education,we can only get a result that makes normal school education activities be disturbed,let alone individual all-round development.Knowing the limitations and also the possibility of individual all-round development,we can implement individual all-round development via compensating the limitations.Marxist "combining education with practice and work" about thinking problem of overall development of individual is based on scientific foundation of Historical Materialism,which provides scientific roads to realize overall development of individual.It is emphasized especially that "education" in "combining education with practice and work" refers to not only school education but also a educational system of combination of family education,school education and social education.
