The Quantitative Research About Work Values Of College Students Of Yi Nationality In SiChuan Province

Work values form a belief system which is on the basis of personal and social needs about professional treatment,Professional conduct and the outcome of the work. The system is stable and filled with generality and power.Work values'key factor is vocational need,which is represented through job evaluation,vocational motivation, vocational wishes,professional attitude,vocational ideal form etc.Based on an open-ended survey,literaure reviews and individual interviews,the paper revised and formed a Yi students'work values scale with a better reliability and validity.And Yi students in Liangshan were examined by that scale.Based on the results from separate exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis,a scale about Yi college students' work value was built and validated as good model with high goodness of fit.Thus the Yi college students' work value questionnaire was used to survey the status and characters in Liangshan from the aspects of art and science,gender,grade,family income etc.The main results were as follows:(1) The revised scale of Sichuan Yi college students' work value has good reliability and validity,which can be used as a tool for testing the same subjects.The scale is composed of two sub-scales----purpose and means.The purpose has four dimensions which are special interest,economic development,personal growth and security.And the means has three dimensions which are hard work,the accumulation of personal connections and career planning.(2) The orders of Yi students' occupational purpose from high to low were personal growth,economic development,security and special interest.During people's fighting for these goals they would also consider the approaches of their development whose importance from up to down were hard work,the accumulation of personal connections and career planning.(3) Because of the different factors---art and science,gender,grade,home and family income,the characters of Yi students'work values have significant differences in some dimensions of the two sub-scales.
