The theory of Multiple Intelligences which was proposed by Howard Gardner in 1983, Professor of psychology of Harvard University spread to all Parts of the world and has had great influence on the educational reform and development since then.Since being raised of this theory, MI has attracted many educators all over the world who want to apply it into education practices.In present information age,how to use information technology(IT) to promote MI instruction? Now we probe how to apply the IT to education,so as to build the teaching methods and teaching practice on the principle of learning,which would have profound effect on Education reform.In the current situation,with the curriculum reform of K-16 education in our country,"The most important thing is students' multiple capability becomes the theme of school education.From the reality of primary school education of our country,this essay makes deep and serious research of theory and practise for local area about "information technology promoting pupils' multiple intelligences development".Firstly,this essay makes brief state for the theory of multiple intelligences.Then,from the point of view of instruction design,it clarifies the advantage of information technology to promote students' multiple intelligences development.From the two ways of qualitative and quantitive research,it discusses the practical explore of using information technology to promote students' multiple intelligences development.The exploration was carried out in ChongQing BeiBei Moxinpo elementary school and ShengYang Wanlian elementary school,and the course was "science".Conclusion:Students' multiple intelligences can be developed by effectively using the information technology.Although the information technology is by no means the only method,but it may be said definitely that using the information technology to promote students' multiple intelligences has the unequalled superiority compared with the other means.
