CPC Central Committee and the State Council made the decision about deepening the education reform and fully advancing Quality-oriented Education in 1999. According to the decision, we should change our traditional education ideas, systems and structures, our patterns of teaching, educational contents and teaching methods.As an educational psychology theory, the theory of Multiple Intelligences advanced by Howard Gardner has become an increasingly famous education idea in the education reform of USA. It has brought extraordinarily important influence on the current reform of USA and many other western countries.The theory of Multiple Intelligences has attracted a lot of scholars since it was introduced to China, simply because it is unanimous with the idea of Quality-oriented Education. It is valuable for practical teaching to probe the application of this theory on the physics education in junior high school. We can show the knowledge by multiple forms in terms of students'intelligent structures, so that every student can learn by his own intellectual strength. As a result, they can understand the knowledge more easily, which is good for the formation of their own knowledge.Firstly, under the guidance of the theory of Multiple Intelligences,this thesis studies on the physics education to the junior high school and discusses the significance on the multiple forms exhibition of knowledge. Then, according to the current elementary educational practice and in terms of the results of a sampled investigation on junior high school students, the writer brings forward a viewpoint: The intelligent tendency of junior high school students is of both concentricity and diversity, both fixity and plasticity. Basing on physical theories, methods, plans and practices, the writer brings forward some basic teaching tactics, principles and methods which can be easily applied in practice, and analyzes physical teaching to junior high school as a case. Moreover, the writer advances some fundamental teaching strategies, and puts forward some easily-made mistakes. The specified reference sense and reference value can be acted in the physics education to the junior high school.
