Reading is an important way of studying.As a basic studying ability,reading ability is an important content of basic education.In 2001 "Promulgated Kindergarten Education guidelines(for trial implementation)"clearly pointed out:"cultivating preschoolers'interest in simple common sign and sign language in everyday life,arousing their interest on books,reading,writing and developing their pre-reading and pre-writing skills by means of books,painting and other methods." As the major means of early reading education—early reading teaching plays a vital role in fostering preschoolers'reading interest,reading habits,reading ability and so on.This study aims at surveying the present Situation of early reading teaching in the main urban districts of Chongqing, finding out problems and providing solutions accordingly,meanwhile,providing references for early reading teaching in kindergartens of Chongqing.This research applies methods such as documentation,questionnaire,interview and observation to study the present situation of early reading teaching in Kindergarten in the Main Urban Districts of Chongqing.The results are followed:early reading teaching has been implemented and its value for preschoolers'development has been approved in most of Kindergartens in the Main Urban Districts of Chongqing.Most teachers have a positive attitude towards early reading teaching,besides that, They have devoted their time,energy,passion to creating a good psychological environment for the implementation of early reading teaching,which adequately meets preschoolers' reading needs.Problems are followed:Teachers haven't got comprehensive and accurate understanding on early reading teaching.The content of early reading teaching is single and lack of integration. Teaching organization forms and teaching methods are monotonous and dull.It's deficient in positive interaction between teacher and preschooler.Teaching evaluation is procedural and knowledge.Teachers who teach early reading teaching lack specialized training,Their professional level is not high.Parents have no active participation in reading teaching.The suggestions are followed:Teachers should change their concepts,recognize the connotation of early reading teaching correctly.Based on preschoolers'development,Teachers should integrate the goal and content of early teaching reading scientifically.Kindergartens should create a supportive reading teaching environment.Teachers should set up a positive evaluation system for teaching reading.Kindergartens should strengthen teacher training and carry out kindergarten-based research on reading teaching.Kindergartens should also take the initiative to strengthen family-kindergarten's cooperation.
