Based on the deep concern for the Zeitgeist and the profound reflection on the education, and with the purpose of calling for people’s metaphysical concern for the education, putting it into practice, and realizing the settlement and salvation of the soul, the research on the metaphysical concern for men is not only of value which will enrich and expand the education theories but also of significance in pointing out and correcting problems in the present educational practices.The main methods in my research paper are literature analytic method, observation method, case analysis method as well as the educational narrative method and theoretical speculation one. The thesis mainly argues for three aspects on the metaphysical concern for men from the education, that is, the definition and connotation, the necessity and possibility, and the way to its realization.Through research, it is argued that the metaphysical concern from the education exists in the process of men’s improvement which is motivated by the education, and on the basis of educational practices. What’s more, it has characteristics of self-center, and is in the trans-concern state. It is a spiritual care and a value guidance for the individual’s self-improvement and his ideal survival condition. The connotation of the metaphysical concern from the education is its concern for men’s survival condition, the protection of men’s spiritual home, the transcending of men’s limitedness and the pursuit for freedom and happiness. The way to realize it is through educational methodologies and approaches and the ultimate goal is to improve and enrich men’s metaphysical field, such as the awareness and carrying forward men’s humanity, nobility and excellence of men’s personality, the acquisition and improvement of virtues and wisdom, and the possession of and satisfaction from freedom and happiness.The spiritual state and the individual’s educational situation both indicate the necessity of education’s metaphysical concern for men, the necessity and possibility for men to receive education, men’s ability to transcend themselves, and that men’s spiritual existence and pursuit for it also show the possibility of education’s metaphysical concern for men. And as for how to realize those, the thesis suggests that the main methods and approaches are educational ones through which people can be awakened, their virtual ability improved, their wisdom invoked and finally, they can be led to the way of freedom and happiness. Furthermore, these five methods have internal logic:the awareness is the basis and prerequisite, the virtual ability and wisdom are conditions, and the freedom and happiness are the aims.The thesis is a call for the education’s metaphysical concern for men which the education should have had. And it is hoped that my paper will arose and attract people’s attention on this area and that people will strongly believe in the power of spirit and the value of beliefs and that education can awaken people’s awareness, improve men’s virtual ability, enlighten their wisdom, and respect freedom and protect their happiness. In the educational reality and the individual life, we will always have the noble spiritual pursuit and the passion for life in our heart, and the metaphysical fragrance of education will be pursued and protected.
