University course is the core of university education. It is the basis for teaching activity and the chief means of realizing personnel training. The quality of university course is directly related to the degree of realizing innovative personnel training. Among those factors which influence the quality of University course, the course policy plays the core role.Our nation's higher education has been made great progress since thirty years of reform and opening up, meanwhile, the practice of university course policy reform has also achieved some success and has made more study on its theoretical research. However, the study of university course policy through the perspective of academic is very insufficient. University course policy is the subordinate concept of education policy. In order to expand the scope of the study of education policies, this paper is based on education policy, and use statistical analysis, text study, historical study and so on to analyze the university course of our country in the past thirty years.This paper divides the university course policy in our country into four stages :firstly, the period of starting reform and the new development; secondly, the period of comprehensive reform and the rapid development; thirdly, the period of deepening reform and further development; lastly, the period of innovation and scientific development. This paper analyzes four characteristics of university course policy in our country, that is :a high degree of centralization in university course policy; having large quantity and many terms in university course policy; diversifying the subjects of university courses policies; attaching too much importance to social values in university courses policy. Finally, based on the previous study of this paper, the paper looks out the prospect of our country's university course policy.
