The modern schooling system in China originates from that of the industrialized countries such as in Europe, America and Japan. The system takes "textbooks" and "teachers" as its center and the obvious insufficiency for its notion of curriculum is the knowledge demonstrated to the students, strictly definite and brief, does not match the studentc' indefinite and complicated living world. A survey carried out by the Fundamendal Education Depabtment of the Ministry of Education in China in July 1996 finds that the educational notion in the present curriculum program is lagged and its cultivating goal cannot completely kedp up with the development of the tide. ...The kNowledge departmentalism and subject departmentalism in the present curriculum program seriously restricts the promotion of quality-oriented education. As the society is deveLoping rapidly, the requirements for human quality are increasing steadily. Under the background of the curriculum reform and quality education deepening in the information world, the newly constituted course standards for senior middle schools not only bring forward the brand-new requirements for each education and teaching goal but also affect the college-entrance examination for each subject. Classroom teaching is the core and linchpin in teaching. Inaugurating the management of classroom teaching and taking new notion, system and approach to guide classroom teaching so as to ensure the fulfillment of talents cultivation has become an urgent and crucial mission.Relying on the background of the quality-oriented education and the achievements of education reform in the recent decade in the Middle School Attached to Hunan Normal University(MSAHNU), taking its classroom education management as an example and using the new notion, mode, approach and way for classroom teaching management at home and abroad for reference, this thesis probes into the theoretic foundation, principles, contents and significance for the innovation of classroom teaching management in middle schools under the guidance of new course standards, hoping to provide the benefits for the perfection of classroom teaching management in the future and the development of the students as well as to furnish reference to other middle schools undertaking the research and practice of classroom teaching management. The whole thesis is composed of seven parts:Part One, the introduction, mainly introduces the background and significance of taking the topic, the present research outlooks at home and abroad, the research approaches and research framework and defines some basic terms such as new course standards and classroom teaching management.Part Two, Three and Four illustrate the causes for the promotion of new course standard and its main characteristics and expatiates the significance and theoretic background for the classroom teaching management in middle schools under the guidance of new course standard.Part Five presents the humanistic details, historical background and the processes of course reform in MSAHNU; reveals realistically and practically its demerits of classroom teaching management and analyzes the reasons for these demerits.In view of the shortcomings and limitations of the present classroom teaching management, Part Six, the main body, probes into the four principles and three approaches of the innovation of classroom teaching management by using the excellent experience and illuminations of the classroom teaching management both at home and abroad as reference.Part Seven sums up the whole thesis, makes the final conclusion, induces the significance and localizations of this research and puts forward the subsequent research issues.
