This thesis is centered on a unique aspect of the development of curriculum resources in a country with various nationalities:the exploitation of multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas.China is a united country with various nationalities and a country with various cultures as well.Different peoples have developed its unique, abundant multi-culture in the long course of its development.In minority areas of China,people have a narrow view of curriculum resources and little awareness of curriculum,lacking a broad view of exploiting multi-culture curriculum resources.Various cultural resources are potential curriculum resouces and need a series of exploiting mechanisms and strategies if they are to be made into actual curriculum resources.In order that the differences of students from different areas, different cultures and nationalities are better reflected by curriculums,the government has established an exploiting and managerial mechanism of curriculums including national curriculums,local curriculums and school-oriented curriculums.This provides the system of multi-cultural curriculum which reflects not only the characteristics of nationality cultures but also modern science and knowledge with elasticity and institutional insurance.There needs to be a clear idea of value and some basic strategies for the exploitation of multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas.It is advisable to enrich the content of curriculums by exploiting multi-culture resources according to the actual practice of the social development and educational reformation in minority areas,thus bringing the diversity of nationality cultures into the system of cultural curriculums.The thesis falls into four parts.Part one is an introduction.This part briefly introduces the background and the importance of developing multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas,gives the definitions of nationality,of culture, of multi-culture and of curriculum resources,and discusses the relationship between multi-culture and the development of curriculum resources.Part two demonstrates the connotation and the features of the exploitation of multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas.It first discusses the connotation of the exploitation of multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas,then points out the basis of the exploitation and patterns of it,and lastly discusses the relationship between multi-culture and curriculum exploitation.Part three mainly analyzes the current situation of the exploitation of multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas.It first analyzes the exploitation of multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas,and then on this basis points out some major problems in the exploitation of multi-culture curriculum resources.Lastly,it discusses ways of improving the exploitation of multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas.Part four discusses a few basic strategies of exploiting multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas.They include:developing the awareness of multi-culture curriculum resources in minority areas; effectively exploiting multi-culture curriculum resources by highlighting nationality features;improving managerial systems and effectively exploiting multi-culture resources in minority areas,investing more fund in exploiting the resources;enhancing the faculty training concerning the exploitation of multi-cultural curriculum in minority areas.
