Since the Chinese opening to the outside world, the trends of diversified development of cultures are becoming more evident in the opening up of internal and external environment. Multi-cultures are bound to lead to multi-values, and to establish various standards of values in all areas of social life at the same time. In particular, the present individual-based thinking in multi-culture is very prominent, which made the desire to pursue personal interests strong and the overall point of view down, and even led to some breeding of a "self-centered" personal departmentalism, egoism and extreme individualism. This was shown in the attenuated national consciousness and national spirit which is based on patriotism. In addition, with the strengthening of the trend of economic globalization, the international contacts are increasingly close, coupled with the cultural communications and collisions to some extent. This made the difficult task of patriotic education face severe challenges. In order to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we must cast the national soul which leads to the cohesion of national creativity, and strengthen and improve the education in patriotism, in order to achieve the great rejuvenation of the nation and provide a strong ideological and moral basis and political guarantees.Culture is one of the common concepts in the daily life and of humanities and social studies, which of the essence is personification, and is subjects' self-consciousness to their own life history, current situation and development, so the core of culture is values, and the weltanschauung is the soul of culture. And multi-culture is defined as mixed culture which existed in a group, community or region at the same time and was of an independent cultural identity, in other words, the culture referred to by multi-culture must be several cultures which have some associations. If there is no contact, comparison and interaction, the culture that existed among different groups can only be described as a unit of culture for a group or society. Patriotic education in the multi-cultural stir should be based on the understanding and love of homeland, and the guidance of behavior and practice should be conducted positively. In short, patriotic education is the educational activities, which is to stimulate and raise patriotism, and to conduct the patriotic behavior.By the investigation into more than a decade of military schools and analysis of how to strengthen patriotic education for military schools in multi-cultural stir, we believe that we should not only enhance cultural awareness to deal with multi-culture, but also focus on building a harmonious culture. In this condition, we should further get a clear understanding of challenge faced by patriotic education under the multi-cultural stir, especially of the problems and pressures faced by the patriotic education in military schools. The main problems were shown as follows: First, the economic globalization and cultural diversity made the ideological struggle more complex; Second, cultural diversity made patriotic education more difficult; Third, economic globalization made the conflict between Chinese and western culture more intense, so the situation of patriotism education is grim; Fourth, western culture undermined the people's national self-confidence through the network might; Fifth, diversity of network culture caused the confusion of national values of college students; Sixth, if the cultural diversity in the context of economic globalization is not to deal with properly, it will weaken the concept of state and nation and influence our patriotic education. By the analysis of the causes of these problems, they were mainly shown as follows: First, economic globalization which will inevitably lead to political and cultural globalization; Secondly, the infiltration of the ideology and values of western countries; Third, the influence of the media of information network.To aim at the current developing situation of our patriotic education in the context of multi-culture and the challenge caused by multi-cultural stir in the military patriotic education, the study summed up the strategies in the education contents, enforcement channels and specific requirements of military patriotic education under the multicultural context as follows:First,from the cultivation and the practice of the socialism core value system and core values of the contemporary soilder to carry out the mission and personal development have a high degree and enlighten the consciousness of students to hold high the banner of patriotism. Second, enhance the national spirit education based on the patriotism among the military students and strive to raise the cultural awareness. Third, propagate the national culture, conduct the excellent traditional culture education to the military academy students for the Chinese nation, and enhance national self-esteem and self-confidence. Forth, build a "spirit of the Great Wall", educate cadets to strengthen the scientific ideals and faith and deal with the challenge of economic globalization and the impact of multi-culture, and be loyal and committed to mission. Fifth, occupy positions in the network, including the 3 aspects: first of all, the quality of the information network of educators should be improved; next, the ability to identify information of the cadets should be improved; Finally, the education network systems should be established and improved. Sixth, eulogize the spirit of the times, also including 3 aspects: first of all, strengthen the education of the innovative spirit of cadets; Second, pay attention to the education of scientific spirit of cadets; Finally, make great efforts to cultivate the spirit of democracy and rule of law of cadets. Seventh, carry out new national security awareness education so that cadets can realize that the national security awareness has gradually extended to the all levels of social life such as politics, economy, science and technology, culture and information. Eighth, conduct scientific rational education and cultivate the scientific rational spirits of cadets, make them unify the truth-seeking and virtue-seeking, patriotic sensibility and patriotic feeling. Ninth, not only propagate the traditional national spirit, but also meet the tides and combine the love of country with the love of party, people, socialism, as well as the cultivation of the core values of the contemporary soldier.
