The thesis mainly researches the Mani mantras which is popularly spread in eastern agricultural area of Oinghai and believed by women of the rural Han nationality.This article based upon the investigation and research of fieldwork and theoretical thinking,started from the music for the folk beliefs and artistic features of melodies,comprehensibly analyzed and illuminated the generating space,structural style,even the artistic characteristics,cultural implication,social functions,changes of performing content etc.There are eight parts in the text and they are introduction,five chapters of text, appendix and literature cite.Chapterâ… :It presented the physical geography,humanity history,culture type and gave a general introduction to the natural,cultural background which bringing forth the Mani Mantras.Chapterâ…¡:It showed the different contents in different time and space,and inductively teased out the knots in social content of the lyrics in the Mani Mantras.Chapterâ…¢:It analyzed the musically artistic form combining with theories of Folklore and Ethnomusicology at some length.Chapterâ…£:It mainly introduced the form of succession and performing taboos for the primary performers and inheritance group,which would exhibit the common features of Mani Nainai and how to take over the Mani Mantras by next generation and even the techniques during learning chanting.Chapterâ…¤:It analyzed and investigated the cultural characteristic and functions of Mani Mantras in Minhe. Mani Mantras carry the cultural psychology,such as lives of the mind,ethics and faith for rural women in Minhe area,and it still exists in women's social life of Han nationality in Minhe which satisfying psychological need of people one time with another and playing a very important role in modern life.
