Since the 20th century, the aging has been getting more and more serious in many countries in the world, an increasing number of elderly people stay at home after retirement. Some are still healthy desire to study and know new friends. In this kind of condition, University for the Aged emerged as new product in this world. Since the 1990s, China also entered the aging society. At the same time, education in the elderly becomes more and more important in socio-economic development's function and carries more and more social expectations along with the knowledge society and information age. At this time, how to develop education in the elderly has also become the central issue after Chinese education elderly has entered a new stage. It is meaningful to establish and improve Chinese education system in the elderly according to studying the effectiveness of practical experience education in Japan's elderly systematically.This article selects Japan as the object to examine the historical background, categories and current system of MHRB University, and explore the characteristics.The main part of this thesis consists of four chapters.Chapter One examines the social and historical background in Japan's elderly university and focuses on the establishment and development in the context of the old age and four classification characteristics.Chapter Two sketches the current system of Japan's elderly university by site visits. Chapter Three analyzes the result of questionnaire, reviews basic situation of elderly and the purpose to participate MHRB University.Chapter Four summarizes the contents of questionnaire, especially the characteristics of MHRB University.
