Lawrence Kohlberg is a famous philosopher, psychologist and educator in contemporary era of America. He devoted himself in moral cognitive development. During his over 30 years' career, he achieved significance on his work. He, with his colleagues, built a set of huge systematic theory on philosophy, psychology and education of moral development, which influenced deeply across the nation, even the whole world. However, Kohlberg's theory also remained questioned and criticized.This article will go on in three sections that follow. The first section begins with review of Kohlberg and his moral idea. In the second section, I will discuss the following issues exposed in his works, such as "justice", moral development model of 6 stages, relationship between moral behavior and moral judgment, and strategies of moral education practice. The third section will combine the current moral education of China with Kohlberg's theory to facilitate the work of moral education of China.
