Chunhui Middle School in the 1920s, is the famous private schools in Zhejiang province. It had substantial financial resources, many outstanding educators, even led secondary education reforms in China. Chunhui Middle School had its own education characteristics, and made many educational experiments, got a lot of achievements. But its development was full of the contradictions and conflicts. This thesis trys to display the school's characteristics, and expose those contradictions and conflicts. Through micro-focused, to explore the more comprehensive history of 1920s secondary education in China.The thesis is divided into three chapters:Chapterâ… discribles the nature of the school, the principal goals of education, teaching practices, students of personality changes. From the four aspects, the characteristics of the Chunhui Middle School are clear.Chapterâ…¡reveals the internal contradictions in Chunhui Middle School. Mainly describe the artistic and scientific debate, Coeducation, Student autonomy. These reforms were the focus in China in 1920s.Chapterâ…¢is the new features of Chunhui Middle School. After the first phase, the principals, teachers and students made some changes, the school had began the new round of development.
