The practice teaching of thought and political theory course in local high schools,established officlally,is a kind of teaching aspect and mode.Its focus is the development of students' ideological and moral qualities and its main form is students' practice activities.Its aim is to combine theory with practice,to enhance the reality,targetedness,effectiveness and initiative of the teaching,and to help students convert perpetual knowledge into rational knowledge by learning and practice.Thus students' understanding of theory can be enhanced,and their ability in problems analyzing and solving with Marxist theory can be improved.This course is also an important access for teachers to probe the various complicated social situation and problems,to know more about what students really concern as well.This is undoutedly a good way to start teaching with specific targets.The practice teaching of thought and political theory course in local high schools is closely related to the goal of personal training.It involves teaching process and teaching methods,which do instruction by practice and help students consolidate their knowledge,cultivate their ability and highten their qualities.The fifth document by CPC(Central Committee Propaganda Department and Education Department) in 2005 indicated that all courses related to ideological and political theory course must emphasize the aspect of practice.It offered ideas on protection mechanism,funding and practice means of practice teaching.However,for some local high schools,there still exist such problems in practice teaching as the following:the attendance of the students;the order of practice organization;the normative form of practice contents;the application of practice results.From the survey we discover the reasons why these problems arise.Besides subjective factors held by educators,objective factors are influential: the gap between the present teaching management system and that the practice teaching requires,the severe shortage of teaching resources,the improper teaching method,unformed right evaluation system and so on.With regard to the above problems,based on the experience of subordinate institutions and the reality of local high schools,firstly,we should combine the contents of teaching activity with those of class theory in practice,relating the themes with students' thoughts and heightening their personality.Secondly,we should integrate and make full use of human resources,material resources, culture resources etc.in a locality.Government should plan a s a whole,local high schools should do it effectively and front-line teachers should play a main role to deepen the degree to which the teaching practice resources of thought and political theory course is exploited.Thirdly,to reach the omni-directional and three-dimensional teaching effect,it is necessary to take advantage of different teaching forms scientifically and rely on such kinds of teaching practice as base education,social practice,example teaching,reading practice,campus culture and research practice.Fourthly,we should endeavour in these aspects,which include building reasonable evaluation system, overcoming the drawbacks in conventional course evaluation system,combining teaching evaluation with learning evaluation as well as quantization evaluation with vague evaluation and process assessment with result assessment to meet the requirement of teaching practice.By taking above mentioned methods,we can change the dilemma faced by local high schools and practically improve the teaching qualities in thought and political theory course.
